Drivers

The Drivers list holds the people who deliver your orders. It belongs to the Fleet module. The plan limit counts drivers separately from vehicles. A driver without a vehicle does not leave, and a vehicle without a driver stays parked.

Driver list

In the panel: Drivers. You add a name and — if you want — a phone, shift hours (from–to) and a vehicle. You enter the phone in international format, for example +48 600 100 200. A number without a country prefix is treated as Polish. The panel rejects a bad number on save.

Once you reach the plan limit, you cannot add another entry. That is not a form error but the plan limit. The message says which limit you reached.

Click a driver to open their card. On the card you change details, see recent orders and connect GPS. The Delete button removes the driver from the list and the map. It does not erase the deliveries already completed.

Do not mix this list with the team. The team is people in the panel. Drivers are people in the field.

When Fleet is off, this list disappears from the menu, and its address shows “Fleet is off” with a button to Modules. Drivers and their keys stay and return when Fleet is switched on.

Phone and key

The driver does not sign in to the panel. Their phone sends its position through the GPS app Traccar Client. The address to paste in the app contains that driver’s private drv_… key.

Simplest: in the list or on the driver card click Connect GPS. The wizard has three steps:

1. App — the driver installs Traccar Client.
2. Configuration — you copy the Address for the phone app and paste it into the Server URL field. In Device identifier you enter the driver’s name.
3. Signal — the wizard waits for the first signal.

Until the first signal the card shows “Waiting for GPS”. After it — “GPS active”. That only means the phone was connected once. Whether the driver is sending now shows in the duty status. The concept: driver GPS. Full instructions: GPS.

The address is private. Send it to that driver’s phone, not to a group. The Replace GPS address button invalidates the old address at once — use it when the phone changes owner or the address leaked. Then paste the new address in the app. Do not give drv_… to a customer. The customer gets the order tracking link.

Duty

Duty status comes from the last position. There are four states: on the way, at the venue, idle and no signal. An order waiting in the kitchen does not pin the driver to a car on the map — you see the order itself, not a vehicle. Assign the driver to a car before they leave.

When a driver reports a problem from their phone, you see it in alerts, not as an easy-to-miss status on the pin. Driver comparisons (distance, punctuality, ETA accuracy) are in Analytics — see Features.
